About
About Landlord Weekly
Landlord Weekly publishes news, analysis and practical guides for Australian landlords, whether you own one investment property or twenty, and whether you use a property manager or do it yourself. Once a week we publish The Weekly, a long-form feature on the issue landlords are asking about most.
Who writes it
Landlord Weekly is written by a small editorial team of Australian landlords who manage their own properties. We have signed the leases, chased the arrears, lodged the bonds and sat down with the tax return. That experience shapes what we choose to cover and how we explain it.
Editorial standards
- Primary sources first. We work from legislation, regulators, the ATO, the RBA, the ABS and original research wherever possible, and we link to them so you can check our work.
- Dated and updated. Every article shows when it was published and when it was last updated. When rules change, we update the article and say so.
- Corrections. If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the change on the article.
- Comparisons. When we compare products and services we explain the criteria we used and list the trade-offs, not just the winner.
General information only
Everything on Landlord Weekly is general information. It does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs, and it is not financial, legal or tax advice. Tenancy law differs between states and territories and changes often. Before acting, check the current rules with your state regulator and speak to a licensed professional.
